This is a very old debt, the SOL is already passed, so unless they already have a judgement that you don't know about, you do NOT have to pay. It is not likely that they have a judgement,but you need to check anyway by calling the court house where you reside Now. They can not legally freeze your checking account unless they have a judgement against you. Hope this clears things up.
