I have a family member that has a mortgage with Washington Mutual. They have a variable rate and the house payment is 800.00 at this time. The mortgage company is threatening to take their home for non payment. The mortagage co. is saying the last payment recorded is in Dec. They have made every payment since then and have been sent back ALL money orders which also included the late fee. They thought they were all caught up and com to find out they also sent back the feb. payment. They have been told to send 3,200 and nothing less or they will send it back. Can someone help me out with what they can do? I don't want to see them lose their home.
