abstract for judgement

What exactly is that? I just found out I have one that is like over 12 years old from the state of California. I never received any thing notifying me I was being sued. The only reason I ever did was because i got a letter from the bank saying they where freezing any account i had with them... anyways trying to figure out if the judgment is sol? any help would be appreciated...ty
