I have been making payment to a collection agency(GC Services) for my amex acct. for the past year. I could no longer make the required payments on my $6,000 debt to Amex and as soon as they found out that my child had a tumor removed and that I was going to lose my job, I was immediately notified (intimidated and harrassed) by CA. (Single Mom). I did go back to work and was making payments to the CA until the last couple of months when my son had a relapse and is now on chemo. and I am out of my job once again. I have been forced to sell my home, so I was planning to see if I could settle with the collection agency. How do I do this? Thank you for any information.
