Thanks all of you for your replys! Followup for JA Kelly--what happened was that after three years our bankruptcy was dismissed since my husband lost his job with the railroad after the 9/11 attacks. My portion was going into the plan, but his was not. I made the mistake (but felt it was the right thing to do) of contacting all the creditors to make arrangements for payment. This called attention to the accounts and they seemed to fly around the block several times. Meanies from Boudreau & Associates in NH threatened lawsuits (to which I reported them to the State of NH Attorney's General's office. This worked because never heard from them again, and that was over a year ago. These accounts then went to Zwicker & Associates last month (who failed to verify the debts). By the way, they are all on Bud Hibbs "trash can" list.
I'm getting dizzy now! Any other suggestions or comments are welcome! Thanks for caring about others in these situations.
