Your fear is understandable,quite normal. CA's are merchants of fear, their primary weapon against us. By filing an answer, though it seems hard to believe, you've attenuated their power.
You see, they hope to scare us into a frozen state, like a light-struck deer, hoping we not answer the suit, gaining them a default judgement.
By filing an answer you've signalled them that you're no easy mark, not about to go down without a fight. In manner of rapists, housebreakers, murderers, criminals one and all, CA's prefer easy marks. Fighters cost them time, money, effort. By filing you draw them into court, where they might be compelled to reveal deficiencies - most common - in their alleged case.
Stay in touch. We have all felt your fear, indeed still feel it. Once burned by predators, the unease sometimes becomes our permanent companion, escaped only by lapse into blissful sleep.
