Here are your exemptions in bankrupcy and judgements (what they can not take) Does not mention vehicles, if you consider the value of vehicles at sheriff sale with all the legal costs involved, there are probably safe.
CAs lie and threaten. That's the way they work. Your chances of not getting sued are actually very good. I had 13 cards and only 1 sued and that was for a debt of 10K. I filed chapter 7. My advice is to ignore the CAs. DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. Let the machine pick up, watch caller ID. Whatever works for you. the phone is their tool, take it away from them. If they can not threaten and harass you they will likely move onto easier prey.Good Luck
