Household Finance is in affiliation with all the other sub prime lenders. As I said before, if you have not received the REQUIRED "denial because of credit" form, they are already in violation of the law.

You would be well advised to look for another job and save your $$.
If your creditors thought they had a REAL claim aganst you, they would have filed suit and obtained a judgment.

You say you last paid in 2001-- to WHOM? Was your credit card useable at that time? Have YOU looked at your credit reports?

What exactly do you think will happen if you "settle" on this old (probably legally uncollectible account) to get this "great job" and then find out they had no intention of hiring you anyway, and just saw a way of getting one of their affilates paid some $$.

Household may be BIG, but they are also one of the MEANEST NASTIEST sub prime lenders, who use deceptive tactics all the time and have been successfully sued in class action lawsuits for their violations of State and Federal laws.
