Follow Keyser's advice- wait until October, lay low till then, and make sure that comes off in October. Then apply to someone who has your best interests- not this place. Plenty of competition out there- take your business elsewhere.

If in Florida, I would say wait until hurricane season is over. A few poor souls took possession a few weeks before Andrew came along a flattened their new homes.
