About 3 years ago, before I knew about this forum, I worked at a very tiny collection agency (only 2 collectors) and I was the front desk secretary. Although I only stayed for 4 months (because I couldn't stand how they talked to people on the phone), I did type up some "deletion" forms for the boss. If a client requested to have derrogatory info removed from his/her CRA, he always said "yes" (as long as HE got the money). I remember typing on the form "entered in error". My ex boss was NOT a nice man, but he was and is a money hungry man and he could care less what people's credit reports reflected AFTER he got paid. In short, my point is that it depends on the CA, but if they say that "it can not be done" they're lying. Hope this helps.
