You can if you wish take Scott's advice and go after these garbage CA's, however, I do not believe it would be worth your time and effort unless you have damages from the new entry on your credit report. Most likely, you recently applied for credit and since you had not Opted Out,the scam garbage CA's got the data and poisoned your report. I suggest you file a complaint with the FTC and your State AG office, and send the CA a dispute letter. Make sure to add the Federal BK Court to the agencies you are filing a complaint with. Send your CRA's a copy of the dispute letter and a cover letter stating they are required to immediately delete this fraudulently re-aged account or you will add them to any pending or future actions against the CA.
