why chat or anyone who knows, have i already made a huge mistake?

Triadvantage has been harassing me over a charged off capital one credit card account now for a few months. The other day over the phone I agreed to pay them in two installments of 500 and then 600. Did I totally screw up here? I'm sure they were recording the conversation over the phone because I know how sneaky they are. The first 500 has already been taken out and the other 600 is set to come out this Friday. Should I put a stop payment on the 600 dollar check??? I didn't know I had rights in this matter until I started investigating and found this forum. Does anyone have any steps to help me out on this matter? This is the most pressing issue on my credit report. The account is already showing as being charged off on all 3 of my credit reports. Can I dispute the first 500 dollars they took from my account even if I previously agreed? Is there a way to get this deleted from my credit report if I did indeed settle? I just need some quick help here. I'll continue searching this forum for answers, but I want to go ahead and start this thread just in case. After this is taken care of, there are other things I need to get a handle on for my credit report, (my FICO score is 555 btw), but this one is costing me this very week!! Any help will be greatly appreciated!
