You are probably being drowned in advise.
Do you have other debts?
If you are behind or have defaulted on other debts, they will attack with a vengance if they see you have paid TRIAD.

You need to opt out, get your Ill address deleted from you reports.

If TRIAD has your phone #, you need to get it changed to an unlisted # as they will give it out to all their CA buddies.

You also need to look at your Crap1 statement, (and any other debts you may have) or your credit reports, and see when the FIRST 30 day late was reported.

I THINK your SOL probably started in 2000 (the last time you could USE your CC). But it is WAY too early to use the SOL letter.

You DO need to change bank accounts (and perhaps banks) unless you can put a PERMANENT fraud alert on your existing account and require WRITTEN authorization for any electronic fund transfers.
