I'd like to know the answer to this also. That's exactly what they told me. I called them and told them I sent letters to all of the accounts listed and that they haven't responded to me. They basically told me "too bad" they responded to them. Told me to complain to the FTC and BBB. In my case, they are OCs. I have HFC listed four times == each one differently, even have one paid as agreed with the same opening date as one that's charged off. To my knowledge, I've never had an account with HFC, Household Finance, etc.
