Hi you guys are great!!
I'm here in new york, had Citibank CC with balance of $3700, last payment on 10/2001, lost my job and things went bad, so I stop paying them , Got the summon from (Assignee of Citibank)CA's lawyer in 01/2004 suing me for $6000, answer the summon with general denial in 2/2004, got the postcard in the mail from court for court date in end of March.
My question is:
Will I be able to ask them to validate the debt in court?
Have anyone ever been sue by CA?
What does the CA's lawyer need to show to the judge to proof the debt?
