"Validation" is not called for here. They need to prove it is your account with a copy of your signed applicaton. They need to show that the amount of $$ they have filed for can be properly accounted for. They need to pove that their credit agreements are in accordance with NY State statutes, (see my website NY page) They need to prove that any interest or fees charged were within the NY limits. They need to prove that legal fees, if added to the claim are reasonable and were called for in the default provisions of your credit agreement.

You will likely have a mediation first, during which you can come to a mediated settlement that MIGHT be to your advantage. A NY judgment is for 10 years and is renewable.
