The allegedly free mainstream press and TV networks have lost audience. They resent the myriad choices offered to internet users, who are allowed to sample a variety of information and opinions, thus making more informed decisions. Case in point, the local paper ran a column with advice to those with credit card troubles. The advice ran counter to everything on this board, following it would ensure years of money loss, legal trouble, perpetual indebtedness to greaseball bankers who advertise in that rag.

AssXXXX Acceptic Crap-o-ration is legendary for suing on SOL debt. Time-barred suits are their stock-in-trade, and why not? Its lucrative!Rufus "Bud" "The Dean of Bad Debt" Reitzel, founder of this forty-two year old Abbatoire of Avarice, has prospered mightily. In addition to the recent IPO, La Famiglia Reitzel owns properties - according to public record - in Grosse Pointe, MI, and Lakeland, FL. The latter being the Axis of Power down here in Crackerland.

AssXXXX exploits consumers' unawareness of their rights and protections, and fear of judicial process to get away with this apparent scam. Unfortunately for them, you came to this board, now they're caught.

Check out WA SOL, Card debt is unwritten contract, three years. Sorry, Rufie, no extra Alpo (r) for you. Now, file complaints with the WA and MI - their home state - AG's, as well with the FTC. Remember, the higher the complaint pile, the more certain it eventually will tumble upon this hematically-engorged leech masquerading as a public corporation. Nail them with every legal device. Use TILA/SOL defense as directed by WhyChat and LadynRed, let them know you're not to be trifled with.
Remember, CA's run a cynical numbers racket, counting on most suits going unanswered. Many times merely by filing timely answers, claiming you 'lack knowledge', and/or SOL Defense, they lose interest. When you fight them back they lose money, time, and risk exposure to countersuits and official scrutiny of their seedy little kleptogarchy. They sue many, knowing default judgements will be their reward. Reward their craven greed with a fight they'll not forget.
