Did you file your 1997 Federal Taxes with itemized deductions?.

Did you file an Ill. State return for 1997?

If you filed both, you may be able to get copies from Ill. or the Feds. showing your witholding.

The fact that the $$ may have been deducted would not have exempted you from filing an Ill. return.

You may need a tax attorney to help you out.

There is NO "SOL" on taxes.
