I filed bk about a year ago. Bk is a fresh start. My only regret is that I waited until I was sued before I filed. I should have done it a lot sooner and been done with it all.

The other way to look at it, is if you are judgement proof, they get can a judgement but they cannot collect. But, judgements last a long time, and if your circumstances should change, a judgement could be a problem.

What state are you in? If you are in a garnishment state, they can garnish wages, depending on your state laws.

It was not a difficult process, and it was not an unpleasant experience when it came down to it.
