They MAY enter it as a lien against your home, even though it is not enforceable.

Your wife should file an affidavit of homestead with the Court and have it put in her case file,this will keep them from doing that.

( An affidavit of homestead is NOT the same thing as homestead exemption for property tax)

In addition, if you have any joint accounts with her name and ss# FIRST, close them and reopen wih YOUR name first.

They MAY file a motion for discovery of assets, which she MUST answer. However, she is ONLY required to answer truthfully as to assets she owns by herself.She should open a bank account in her own name with $100.or less and keep it active.
