I recently got an initial contact letter from NCO re a Discover card debt that charged off last year. However, the acct had previously been assigned to Eskanos and Adler, a law firm who is in Calif and has been known to sue people. In a way, I was kind of glad to see this because I thought I might get sued. Now that it is with NCO, I believe they'll just try to harass me into paying, although I don't have a phone they can call me on. I have a horrible looking credit report, so I'm not too worried about NCO. Am I justified in feeling reliefed in seeing the acct transferred to NCO? I don't have any assets they can take either.
