TN is NOT a community property state - I too live in TN, so I know this.

They can NOT go after your wife's wages if she was only an AU, that's a B.S. threat AND a violation of the FDCPA - threatening legal action they cannot take.

Your disability is EXEMPT in TN, but your bank account may not be. If your SSDI funds are on automatic deposit it may be exempt because its easy to prove the exempt source of the funds.

They can not do ANYTHING w/o suing you and winning a judgment first. You've already got 'em by the you-know-what if they're collecting illegally, so I'd pursue that and make sure the State stays on them.
