Any company asking for a $1000 deposit DOESN'T want your business. Go find a company that wants your business.

Here's a story. I have a Wal-Mart card run by Monogram Bank of Georgia. Never late with a payment, never carried a revolving balance. My credit score dropped due to unavoidable charge offs on OTHER accounts. Out of the blue, Monogram cancels my account. So I write a scathing letter to Wal-Mart's customer service telling them I will never shop there again and that I will bad-mouth them to everyone I meet. I then tell them of that week's $200 worth of purchases at Target that I made with my Target Card that would have been at Wal-Mart on my Wal-Mart card had they not cancelled it. Within a week, Wal-Mart is calling me apologizing profusely and saying that it is a *computer glitch* at Monogram Bank that cancelled the card, and they *corrected* it sending a new card out right away. Wal-Mart wanted my business, so I still shop there and don't bad-mouth them.

Simply put, there are TOO many companies available to take your business to if some foolish company doesn't want your business because of what is on your credit report. Look at some of the other wireless companies. I'm sure one of them will be more than willing to take the business Verizon didn't want.
