i agree. its total bs. even reporting it as paid..wont help your credit one bit. who thought THAT crap up??? a paid IS better. but of course, not the wizards who owe our souls. stupid s***. def watch the language of the settlement. mine are big on saying..we will report it as "settled" ,,thank god im not that stupid anymore cause you know how many believe that is sufficient??? the status reported wont matter...same slam on your fico as not paid. dont pay them until you like the wording on the offer. or you may just find the diff amount simply sold and you start over on it again. good luck!!!
