It isn't clear to me why you're requesting validation. Is the debt not yours? Is the amount wrong? Validation can backfire, as it can invoke a creditor to sue. What this a charge card or a credit card? I know that they are more willing to work with credit cards, since they were originally intended to be paid in payments (creditors just love minimum payments so as to keep you in debt longer and accur interest; a very profitable business for them.)
