found out today that a suit has been filed against me by national check bureau... they purchased 2 accts from first usa and joined them together... i should receive summons soon.. i contacted.. they said balance is 10,800 will settle for 9700. at first the guy was nice, i mentioned attorney he became upset... what can i do, they know i own a home... how can i settle this.. they said 9700 would be due by the answer date.. please help
