The code I was referring to has NOTHING to do with the UCC, it deals with the rules of Court procedures.

If you have the resources to consider settling, then you should get a lawyer to help you. A good lawyer will be able to help you negotiate a settlement from a position of strength, not weakness, protect you from a "sneak" judgment being entered, and make sure YOUR rights and interests are protected.
