Absolutely correct. You will NOT be in contempt of court for not paying. They MAY be in contempt of court for making such statements. If they made these statements in writing, I suggest you contact a consumer lawyer for advice to see if they have violated the law. Are you in South or North Florida?

Link on WhyChats website for Florida debtors. If you are head of household, they can not garnish wages.

IF you file in small claims court, there is an attachment to the paperwork that states: "The court can not collect your judgment for you."
