Thank you in advance for answering my questions 1. I received the stipulation for judgement from law office representing citibank, it's not signed by the citi's attorney yet. Is it safe for me to sign first, and then they sign it, and only give me a copy of it? 2. After I sign it, do I have to do proof of delivery and file it with the court? or just send it to the citi's attorney by certified mail? 3. There is a sentence that states "Upon filing of the signed stipulation, the court will dismiss the case but will retain jurisdiction to enforce the settlement." Can I do the filing? or have to be the citi's attorney? Is there a fee charged by the court? 4. When is the time to do the filing of the signed stipulation? Before the first payment? or after the last payment? or anytime in between? Thank you again. I'm in Californa. The debt is within SOL. I did not verify the debt when first contacted by them. Only answered the summon when they sue me and I did attend the trial and was offered the stipulation in front of the judge. The judge asked me if I agree with the stipulation, I answered that I need to have time to read the stipulation before I agree with anything. The judge then gave me a month to read it. Sorry for the long story.
