Well, though it's bad for consumers who don't know their rights, it's GREAT for those who do, because each account will have to be pretty big to outweigh the damages and attorney fees they'll generate with every letter and phone call.
If the NCO account is a real debt, then just wait for a letter from Riddle, because it will be unsigned but also supposedly from an attorney. This guy and his sidekick "compliance attorney" are the only lawyers there, and they have 60 nonlawyer phone people who act just like any other collection agency.
I have a class action going against the Riddle bunch in NC and I'm always happy to sue them some more when they break the law. Wait for the letter to see just what they want, though.
