Got a bill from the local hospital today, says insurance paid $14.00 on a $126.00 bill. I'm the only one who has been to the hospital this year, and my bill
was paid in full 2 months ago. I called, and the lady in the billing dept (who is an old friend) said this bill was from 2001!!
She said the insurance co has been in litigation all this time, and this was what ended up being paid. She said the rest was applied to DH's deductible, and he hasn't worked for that company in over a year! Should I HIPAA? The date of service was 6-27-01.
