The original credit is not regulated by the FDCPA. If you can't pay, watch caller ID, don't talk to them. If they call you at work, tell them you are not permitted personal phone calls at work and they are jeopardizing your job. Hopefully, they will not risk that. Once the accounts are charged off and go to CAs, you have FDCPA protection. Accounts must charge off after 180 days.
