When was the last time you paid the original creditor. I am surprised that they are accepting $20.00 a month for a 4500 debt. If you keep paying the 20.00 a month for the next three years, until the SOL runs, you can tell them to take a hike. 20.00 a month is not bringing the account up to date, so the SOL is running. That's the way I see it. What state are you in, and was this an open account (credit card).
