Your attorney gives fine counsel. Yes, the in-lieu 'affidavits' these bugs attach are generally worthless. Unfortunately, you are within SOL, validation not recommended.
Your attorney also seems acquainted with M.O. of 'collections professionals' who cobble together some nonsensical numbers, slop them onto some poop sheet, calling that 'proof of all material facts', as well as validation. Bullshale.
AssXXXX Acceptic Crap-o-ration many times flees, as lice from Qwell (tm), merely by Defendant's answering suit. Look, theirs is a cynical numbers game. File a thousand suits knowing eighty percent go unanswered. Presto, default judgements. Collecting a fraction of those makes them money. By answering, objecting to their motions; the more time, money, and aggravation you cost them. Also, sounds as if your account was re-aged, AssXXXX's tedious parlor trick. Worthy of mention to FTC.
No guarantee, but you may find by answering suit, this pile of putrescence known as 'the house that blood built', might wander off in search of easy marks. Which, by your actions, you indicate to them, you clearly are not.

Indicatively,

Keyser Soze
