You are being scammed.

A NC judgment is for 10 years, non renewable, dating from the filing date. In another year it will be unenforceable, and it has long since gone off your credit reports.

Sherman may have purchased the "account" from Sears, although I doubt it, they probably just accessed it from the public records.They have NO rights to collect a ¢ on the judgment UNLESS they have a filed assignment at the Court, which is HIGHLY unlikely.

You owe them ZILCH.

Send them the SOL letter from my website, report them to the FTC and the NC Attorney General's Office for volations of the FDCPA.
