I owe Sherman almost $9000. Or should I say they tell me I do. This is from an MBNA account that I could not pay on. I own one car and do not own a home. I have $1200 in savings. I had this debt before I got married, and cannot tell my husband about it for reasons too long to explain here. I am scared about being sued. I did ask for validation after reading posts on this board. They told me they were working on it, but would be "happy" to work with me on payment terms. Since I owe so much, I guess I will eventually get sued. I live in Oregon, and the last payment was about 6 months ago to MBNA. How long does validation take, and how scared should I be? I cannot sleep, I'm so stressed. The time in my life that led me to non-payments is a nightmare, and Sherman is making me feel like such a bad person. Thanks for any words of encouragement.
