I live in TN and have had 2 cc accounts with Chase for 25+ yrs. I got behind on payments and after 2 years of trying to work out repayment, I defaulted and the accounts were charged off. I am primary; wife is AU. Now I have an appointment with a lawyer in regards to suing the scumbag CA for FDCPA violations. In order to document the accounts as mine, is Chase required to provide me with the actual contract if I ask them. My SS and pension are exempt from garnishment but I want to make sure that Chase does not assign the CO to another CA...IF and when I file suit against the CA. Any ideas???
