Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

These states include creditors in debt collection protection law. Otherwise the OC is not regulated by the FDCPA. However, if your wife tells the creditor that she is not allowed to received phone calls at work, they should honor that request. Won't do them anygood if she looses her job because of their phone calls.
