Time frame for what purpose?
If you sent them a cease and desist/dispute letter CRRR and they are still contacting you, they are in violation of the FDCPA.

The "30 day" rule on validation is for an account when it is first turned over to a CA,it is supposed to mean that if you notify them that you are disputing the account they must stop all collection activities and show it as disputed on your reports until they can validate it.

The subsequent requests for validation presumably have some weight if you are also disputing the account at the same time.

If the account is past SOL, the SOL letter is much better to use to stop collection activities and help get it off your reports. If the account is NOT past SOL, (unless it is NOT your debt) I never suggest sending a "validation" letter.
