CH 7 BK - Credit Report Question

Hi,
I file for CH 7 BK in Nov '03, This was discharged Jan '04. My house was surrendered back to the mortgage company, Matrix Financial, in the bankruptcy. Now on my credit report my mortgage is listing as FORECLOSURE PROCESS STARTED REAL ESTATE MORTGAGE and Open with a balance and 120 or more days past due. It is this way on both Equifax and Transunion. On Experian it's closed, 0 balance, and "Included in Bankruptcy", as well as showing charged off in November '03.

I called the Mortgage company and they told me that until the forclosure is complete, it will continue to remain that way and they would not change it from being listed as open or change the balance to $0. They also said the forclosure would remain on my report.

Can you advise me if this is correct. From my researching of past posts on this board and others, it is supposed to show only as "Included in BK", closed, and 0 Balance.

Does anyone know if it is legal for them to keep showing me owing after the discharge date? They updated Equifax last of the past due status in April 04 and Transunion in Feb '04.

Thanks for your time.
