Credit cards...secured

I want to re-establish credit but I do not want an unsecured card and get into that mess again. I want a secured card that reports to CRA's...I came across National City, anyone have this card? Also, gas cards I was told is a good way...is there one that I can get easily? I have no debt but FICO scores are only high 500's.
