What do you mean by a "consumer advocate"?? Was this a lawyer? Was this someone who advertised "credit repair through validation"?

I suggest you check all your records VERY carefully, you say you last paid in 2001- was this to the ORIGINAL CREDITOR on a CURRENT (not past due or with late charges) account?
