Still no word from CA/attorney

Well, I am almost at 30 days from sending a verification request to this collection attorney --and I haven't heard a darn thing. I am actually starting to not run to the mailbox anymore!
I am curious ---this debt is definately SoL ... I believe 1993 was the last activity on it. (I don't know for sure-it has been a long time) anyway -- can the SoL be stopped if I moved to a different state?
I lived in Virginia (where the debt occured) and moved to Alabama over 7 years ago. Another question: What are the chances I won't hear anything from this attorney or another collection agency again? Or do I have to worry about it for the rest of my life?? Thanks! Crazy in Alabama
