I copied your "Motion To Deny Arbitration Award" letter, and at the top you say "The following format may be used to prevent the entry of an arbitration award , or to defend against an existing entry. This is a GENERIC form, and you MUST obtain your own Court's guidelines for submitting any motion. " That all makes sense, but since I'm a complete idiot when it comes to this stuff, I need to ask... HOW do I obtain my own court's guidelines? Is there a website I can check for that? Do I need to call someone? Is there a courthouse I need to go to? (I'm in Illinois... in Cook County). Which courthouse would this involve? State? County? City? I'm not sure. I'm HOPING I don't have to visit a courthouse, because I already work about 50-60 hours a week, and I can't take time off from work to go there. (Of course, if I have to, I have to) If I have to go to the courthouse, do I have to go personally? Or can I send someone on my behalf, sinc I'm just looking for guidlines for filing at this point? And then, how do I file it? Send it in Certified/RR to the courthouse? Or do I have to file it in person? Again, can someone file it FOR me, or do I have to do it personally? I think I may need to do this soon, because W&A/NAF are about a week away from making an arbitration judgement against me. (I got a letter dated April 15 that said the arbitration "document hearing" would be within 30 days. Of course this was well AFTER I sent them the Arbitration Refusal letter, AND sent W&A the Validation Request.) I sure wish I knew what I was doing. This is getting REALLY stressful. I get nervous just checking the mail, and am actually relieved when all there are is bills, and nothing from W&A/NAF. Ugh! Thanks.
