Do you have attachable assets that they know about. Texas is a non garnishment state. Your homestead is protected. PROTECT YOUR BANKING INFO NOW. If you have ever paid the original creditor with your current checking account, take your money out now. Open a checking accunt at a different bank with someone you trust as primary, if possible. In Texas, if they decided to sue, it is possible that they could convince a judge to freeze your bank accounts if they could convince him that you would take the money out in order to avoid paying your debt. (no warning of this )Otherwise, ignore them. Watch caller ID, let your machine pick up. Whatever works for you. Don't let them harass you. CAs lie and threaten, but mostly blowing smoke. BUT if they can not identify assets, they will most likely not sue you. Filing law suits are costly, and if they don't think they can collect in a timely manner they will most likely move on.
I had 13 cards, only one sued, and that was near the SOL of 4 years. I filed bk.at that time.
