Not a bad idea, but they will probably keep calling anyway. They won't believe you. Best way to stop the phone calls is not to answer the phone calls. Watch caller ID, let the machine pick up. Whatever works for you. They will soon get tired of listening to the phone ring. That was my tactic (13 cards) and it worked very well. I actually put my machine on fax for awhile.
