Why chat writes,

"NO NO NO- Sherman (Vermin) can NOT "file with the Court" to do anything with the judgment. They have NO legal right to collect a ¢ from you.
Anything you pay them is $$ down a rathole."

I spoke casually with a lawyer today (not the CA lawyer) and he said it was merely a technicality if an assignment had not yet been entered by the clerk of court. His view was that I should not rest a defense on it because it would probably become entered if it was contested.

He also said judgments can be renewed in North Carolina.

When you said judgments can't be renewed, do you recall the legal reference for that? I would like to try to view it if its available.

Thanks,

bman
