Tell me if anybody has ever heard something like this. I was bullied into entering a payment arrangement with the Charles Soffar law firm last fall after some guy made a bunch of threats. I recently talked to a lawyer and he advised me to stop paying them while he files legal action. Long story short, they called me last week, made a bunch of threats, then hung up on me. They then did the same thing to my wife. They called my work the next day while I was out of the office and identified themselves as the Soffar law firm to a co worker of mine and said they would be having paperwork served against me soon. Today they called again while I was out, yelled at our secretary and accused her of screening calls, then hung up on her. I have the calls made to my home on tape and my co-workers are more than willing to provide testimony if needed. My question is are the calls to my co-workers a vioation of the FDCPA? I have a call in to my lawyer but he is out right now.
