I've been scouring the internet for an answer to this question for some time and need some help... Can a company charge a card that has been cancelled? Example: I have a subscription to a magazine. I cancel the credit card that I initially used to purchase the subscription. Down the road the subscription comes up for renewal and the magazine company charges a cancelled credit card for the next term. Shouldn't this charge have been rejected and the subscription cancelled? I'd really appreciate any help on this.
