First, they will probably do the arbitration thing. If you have been reading here, then you
know all about arbitration and arbitration awards. They still have to sue and get a judgement to collect though. The above link will give you your exemptions in California. Bk exemptions are also judgement exemptions. So, a lot depends on your circumstances. How much equity you have in your house and what would that vehicle sell for at sheriffs sale. It is possible to have a house and a vehicle and still be judgement proof. Actually, it all depends on what you have that they can seize. I would suggest that you protect your bank info NOW. Close your current account, and open an account in a different bank with someone else as primary if possible. NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR BANKING INFO even if they tell you that is the only form of payment they will accept. They like to get banking info and then they rob your account of more than agreed and more often than agreed. I have read about those kind of complaints from consumers a lot. So, be careful with that. Of curse, if they actually do file suit against you, I would strongly recommend that you seek legal council.
